What
The Tykes Instructional program is geared towards introducing the game of soccer to the young ones (Ages 2.5 through 3). The program is run by Licensed Coaches and helpers which provides an individual instructor for every five to ten players. There is play time but no competition style matches. Each child will receive a soccer ball and t-shirt at the first session.
When
Meets once a week (typically Saturday mornings) based on availability of coaches and helpers. You will be contacted by the coach or club representative at the beginning of the recreation season with your player's session dates/time/location. Each session lasts 45 minutes.
Where
Sessions are formed North (Dunkirk area) and Central (Prince Frederick area), based on number of registered players and field availability. **Region/Areas could be combined due to low registration in an area. Central & South will be combined this Season.
How Often
Typically 6-8 sessions (weather permitting) beginning when the recreation games begin.
What you need to bring
A shirt and ball are provided (given to players at the first session) but your player will need to wear athletic attire and footwear. Shin guards and Cleats are not required (but are adorable!). Also bring plenty of water.
Age
2.5 through 3 years old. Birth date 1/1/2020 through 9/1/2021.
