What is ODP?

The US Youth Soccer ODP is a national identification and development program for high-level players. The program identifies and develops youth players throughout the country to represent their state and regional associations. At the state association level, pools of players are identified in each eligible age group, and brought together as a team to develop their skill through training and competition. From the state pools and subsequent teams, players are identified for regional and national pools and teams. Maryland ODP teams are comprised of the best Maryland players in various age groups.

ODP's Project 100+

The Maryland State Youth Soccer Association is excited to announce Project 100+, the new Maryland ODP entry level program. Project 100+ is an expansion of the current Maryland ODP that will identify and train the top 100 male and female U12 players from across Maryland.

Boys and girls born in the year 2000 and 2001 who have a strong soccer background and are looking for a unique training environment to supplement their club schedule are eligible to tryout. Players must be a Maryland resident and a registered MSYSA player.

Tryouts will be held in October 2011 for male and female players born in 2000 and 2001. Players born in 2002 and later are not eligible to participate.

Project 100+ players will receive 6 training sessions from professional coaches, participation in an inter-regional U12 ODP playday and an adidas uniform kit. Training sessions will be held at various training locations throughout Maryland in April, May and June 2012.
