The first two coaches clinics are primarily for rec
coaches but anyone can attend.
If you
have high school age players who are interested in pursuing coaching they can
also attend.
The Coerver clinic is for the travel coaches.
Technical Training for Travel Players by Charlie Rafael
CSA is committed to elevating the level of play from the
individual player to the team and ultimately the club!
New in 2010, Any CSA travel player, or team, is welcome
to take advantage of the small group technical training that the CSA club will
be providing.
Over the course of ten ninety minute sessions, players
will be placed into a training environment that demands precision from start to
finish. From session to session, a wide variety of training programs will be
utilized to consistently and progressively raise the level of work and pressure
to bring about maximum benefit to every player. The first 60 minutes of
training will focus on the many elements of trapping, passing, dribbling and
striking through many unique and challenging exercises done in conjunction with
a demanding speed and agility routine. The final 30 minutes will be dedicated
to small-sided games designed to give the player a chance to experiment with
their game while becoming increasingly aware of their skills and how this
special training plays a role.
In order to provide a truly individual and technical
atmosphere, this training will accept only 30 players per time slot. As demand
increases, additional times and days will be added. For more information

Gretton Goalkeeping Holds Weekly Training Sessions for Local Area Goalies
Gretton Goalkeeping LLC was founded in 2003 and is owned/directed by Southern Maryland area Goalkeeper Trainer Andy Gretton who played locally for Thomas Stone High School in Waldorf where he was a member of both teams that won state championships. Gretton went onto play NCAA ball at Frostburg State University and after 3 years of college soccer was offered a professional development contract with the Jersey Shore Boca FC of the Premier Development League, a minor league of the USL system. In 2004 he went onto sign a two year contract with the Northern Virginia Royals of the United Soccer Leagues division 2. Since then he has had stints with the Delaware Dynasty (PDL) and Maryland United FC (NPSL). In March 2009 he resigned with the Northern Virginia Royals who are now playing in the PDL. He has been trained by nationally recognized coaches such as David Vaudreuil (DC United), Mark Simpson (DC United), Eric Burstein, Fran Kulas, and currently Tim Lucas. Gretton has been training youth goalkeepers for 10 years and works with approximately 100 players a month in season.
